Exclamation Red Hackle

Herbert Ross (Hepburn and Ross) gave my father a bottle of 22 year old ,blended,De luxe 86*proof whiskey in 1951. cannot decide if I should open bottle and share with good friends and family or dispose of it. Not sure if blended whiskey is stiill good after all these years . It looks a beautiful color and has been stored in the original box with the packed by.checked by. label still on the box.Any ideas what I should with it?? Do you think it has any value ?
