Default Johnnie Walker Red and Ballantine's

I stumbled upon these two bottles while I was cleaning out my grandparents house. My first thought was to drink them because I absolutely love scotch. But now I'm more curious as to how old they actually are and/or how much they would be worth. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for posting the pictures! We will see if we can have both of your bottles dated.

Awesome! Thank you.

Is the Ballantine's any good? I can't say I've heard of it before.

Ballantine's is number 3 in the world list of scotch whiskies so I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. With the normal proviso about old bottled whiskies it should be really nice and, as there's not really a market for old bottled blended whiskies I'd just open and enjoy.

That's correct. I never hear about Ballantine whisky and never ever tried it. But I definitely like to taste it once.

Default Johnnie Walker Red c1968

Based on the design of the labels and the closure being used on your Johnnie Walker Red, it has been dated from c1968.

Sweet! thanks!

Now you've got me surprised that I haven't heard of it haha. I think I'm just gonna let these two sit for a while, wait for some sort of special occasion

I appreciate all your help!
