Bulloch Lade's

Hi,
i'm new on this forum, greetings to you all! ANd I'm italian so sorry for my grammatical errors..
I'd like to ask if you have some information about the "bulloch lade's" whisky because I discovered a bottle of it in my little wine cellar. It must be about 30 years old, but i can't find the date in the bottle...
I've tried a lot of scotch but i really don't know this! And on the net there isn't a lot of informations...

ceskio - welcome to the Whisky.com Forum! I found some history on Bulloch Lade from Wikipedia -

Caol Ila is derived from Gaelic Caol Ìle for "Sound of Islay" (lit. "Islay Strait") in reference to the distillery's location overlooking the strait between Islay and Jura. It was founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson. The distillery did not fare well, and changed hands in 1854 when Norman Buchanan, owner of the Isle of Jura Distillery, took over. In 1863 the business was acquired by Bulloch Lade & Co, of Glasgow, traders in whisky stocks. By the 1880s over 147,000 gallons of whisky were produced there each year. In 1920 Bulloch Lade went into voluntary liquidation, and a consortium of businessmen formed the Caol Ila Distillery Company Ltd. In 1927 the Distillers Company Limited acquired a controlling interest in Caol Ila, and in 1930 Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd obtained ownership of all the shares. The company eventually became part of Diageo.

Our contact from the archive department at Diageo can't be 100% sure, but thinks your bottle of Bulloch Lade Gold Label is dated from the late 1970s - early 1980s

Can I ask you a pair of other infos? First, is this whisky similar, fot production od tipology, to the Caol Ila (from wikipedia it seems that the productor is the same) And second, it's possible to know how it's worth?

Drank many gallons of scotch from that design bottle in the 70's and 80's. B & L was a very good, light (non-malty), and inexpensive blended Scotch. In the 70's it ran about $70 (US) for a 12 bottle case of quarts. I'm not sure if it still is around as I haven't seen any in the local Green Bay Wisconsin, USA stores. I did see a bottle of 60's (?) B & L in a similar bottle on a web site advertised for 250 pounds (english).
