Default 3 Mystery Bottles!!!

G'day All,

I was recently given three unopened bottles of whisky that where my wife's great grandfathers.

1st) A bottle of Peter Dawson "special" scotch whisky (net 1 pint 6fl ozs), which the glass bottle is embossed with "this bottle always remains the property of Peter Dawson ltd"; Reg_n_12739. Just hoping to find out an age and value of the bottle?

2nd) A bottle of King George IV old scotch whisky ( net 1 pint 6fl ozs), also embossed in the glass bottle "this bottle is the property of distillers agency LTD.Edinburgh (ISM 319)", also after age and value?

3rd) Bottle of Johhnie Walker red label (net 1 pint 6fl ozs) still in wrapper and box. Bottle is embossed with "Johnnie Walker - this bottle always remains the property of John Walker & Sons Ltd (IS 498). The label also list the highest awards it won from 1880 to 1897. Can any one help me with age and value?

I can take photos if you require.

Cheers,

Ken

Yep, I upgraded Ken's status and email him. New members have to be upgraded to post photos. It keeps the site spam free but makes new members have to wait. If any regular members are here everday or often and want to be upgraded to Moderator, PM me or Joanne and we can make that happen. You can then approve any whisky questions that are waiting to be approved.

All 3 are Diageo brands and look to be from the late 50's or early 60's

I'll confirm the bottle of JW date and as for the others if they are Diageo brands, we can have those dated as well.

2. King George IV c1953

3. Johnnie Walker Red Label c1956

Thanks blenderm for giving direction here!

Do you have a rough idea on there value and if there is a market to sell them??

Or should I crack them open and enjoy

I'd recommend drinking them as there's really no market for blends unless they're pre 1930's and even then someone needs to want them
