Default Ancient Old Parr

My father has given me a bottle of "Ancient Old Parr Real Antique and Rare Old Scotch Whisky".

Any help in tracking the provenance of this product will be most appreciated. Dad acquired the bottle about 50 years ago. He has requested it be opened and consumed at his wake by myself, my brother and my son. Hopefully that will be a very long time from now.

The bottle is still securely sealed although there is a very small amount of sediment within. If only I could see and appreciate the color.

Although I am a lover of single malts, this blended Highland Scotch will likely be a memorable experience.

Default Ancient Old Parr

Paul,

Our contact at the parent company for Ancient Old Parr (Diageo) tells us that even within their archive there are gaps within their collections and they do not have any actual bottles of Ancient Old Parr to compare with your photographs. However, they did find some old advertisements from the early 1940s which featured a bottle very similar to yours. The label reading “Ancient Old Parr” was used from 1909-1941.
