Default Johnnie Walker Black, age?

Hello all, I was given a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black for a gift. A friend and I were talking about it and II showed it to him and he said it looked old. We then looked the bottle over and it does appear older then modern JW. I was wondering if anyone on here might know when this may have been bottled? This is more to settle an argument then anything else. Thank you in advance and cheers!
Okay, I can't seem to figure out the pic upload. The label says Johnnie Walker normal font and Black Label in a script font. It says 86.8 proof. Imported by Canada Dry. The lower label say By appointment of her majesty etc etc. The Foil on the cork? says Full Quart. There's a red tax label on the top, the tax numbers are175842012. The back label says Distilled and bottled in Scotland under British government supervision. Thanks again, email for pics.

We can likely have this bottle dated (it'll take a few days). Here's how to post photos:

Log in and then and hit reply to this thread. Look the paper clip icon (to the right of the smiley face). Click on it - a new window will open which gives you the option to browse your computer for your photo. Once you do that and Upload - close that window. If your photo does not attach, that means it's too big, so re-size and try again.

Once you're set and have closed out of that window, you'll be back to the main page with your question. Click on the paper clip icon again and it might say Insert Attachments" or it may just show numbers - go ahead and either click on Insert Attachments or just click on the numbers and it will insert into your message. You won't actually see the photo until you either preview it (look to bottom of the body of your thread, below the icons and you'll see a button to either Submit New Thread or to Preview Post. Once you click on either of these, you will see your photos.

Think the issue was the sampling size. I added pics to my album and made it public, thanks for the help!

Our contact at Diageo tells us that based on the design of the labels and the closure being used, your bottle is dated from c1956-1960.

Default was wondering if you could help me too...

I also found an old bottle of Johnny Walker Black label that seems old. The bottle is unopened and still has the tax strip across the top. The bottle is clear glass thats square. It has a flagon short neck. The labels are a diagonal black label thats gold framed and a square gold bottom label with black circle with age in bottom label with leaves around the 12. it was imported by the Somerset ltd. if that helps. Would you have any idea how old this is? ive tried looking online and have been unsuccessful. Thank you in advance.

Hi there! We can have your bottle of Johnnie Walker Black dated, but photos are always required. First you'll need to register and then follow the steps below. Also, just a side note - our contacts in Scotland are on holiday through January 3rd, so unfortunately there will be a delay in getting your bottle dated.

Log in and then click on New Thread. In the body part of the thread - please list as much info as possible. Then, when you're ready to insert your photo, look for the paper clip icon (to the right of the smiley face). Click on it - a new window will open which gives you the option to browse your computer for your photo. Once you do that and Upload - close that window. If your photo does not attach, that means it's too big, so re-size and try again.

Once you're set and have closed out of that window, you'll be back to the main page with your question. Click on the paper clip icon again and it might say "Insert Attachments" or it may just show numbers - go ahead and either click on Insert Attachments or just click on the numbers and it will insert into your message. You won't actually see the photo until you either preview it (look to bottom of the body of your thread, below the icons
and you'll see a button to either Submit New Thread or to Preview Post.

Once you click on either of these, you will see your photos. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes.
