Default JW White Label Director's Blend

Hi. I'm very fortunate to have a limited edition bottle of Johnnie Walker, given to me by a rather generous relative who did some work for Diageo. I don't actually have the bottle with me as I keep it at my mother's house (and she's away) but from memory I think it is one of about 450 bottles produced (and it is numbered), dated 2008, it has a white label and is called 'Director's Blend'. I seem to remember it is signed by Jim Beveridge. I will probably hang on to it for a while as it's only 3 years old but would anyone happen to know how much it would be worth today, roughly?

Thanks very much!

Jim Beveridge is still Diageo's master blender and these Directors Specials are quite often produced and I doubt that it has any value greater than a de luxe bottle of blended whisky. You could keep it for 20 years or so but it would be better tasted as the flavour of these specials are normally something quite special

Possibly an idea of what you have - every year Diageo's single malt distilleries and their blends will all create a “Directors Choice” or a “Directors Blend” and submit them for a yearly competition within the company to see which is best. It's pretty special to have one since these are not released to the public. Enjoy it.

Thanks both. My uncle who gave it to me had another couple of bottles, plus an un-numbered "tasting" bottle from which I had a few glasses. Lovely stuff - you drink it half in half with warm water.

I think I'm going to hang on to my bottle though.

Hi, would you consider selling your bottle?

Cheers

Hi SMC1969. I think I'd rather hang on to it for a few years, unless you were prepared to make me a really good offer!
