Default Paring Down The Collection

I'm moving soon, so I decided to pare down the number of bottles I have to move. I have been keeping lots of bottles open, for times when friends come over so they can taste a wide selection.

Well, I bid farewell to a few of my faithful travelers:

Bunnahabhain 12yr
Highland Park 12yr
Johnnie Walker Green Label

I'm not sure which one will be next on the chopping block.

Edradour 10yr
Glenmorangie 12yr Port Wood Finish
Dalmore Gran Reserva

There are a few that I want to keep for one reason or another. I just have to decide which ones I want to keep around.

Drinking them!

I'm working on Glenmorangie 12yr Port Wood Finish. It is SO good. It just beats the snot out of Quinta Ruben.

Enjoy that Glenmorangie Portwood Finish! Unfortunately I never got the change to try it, but certainly know of its great reputation. Lucky you!

I know where another bottle of Port Wood is on the shelf! I have an unopened bottle of Madeira Cask Finish from the same series still in my cupboard.

It really is a great whisky. I hate to drink it up, but I have to make room! It looks like I have to be out by July 1st.

I just boxed up my collection for the move. I left out the Glenmorangie 12yr Port Wood Finish and the Edradour 10yr. I think I can finish those two off before we actually move.

Before taping up the last box, I pulled out my bottle of Aberlour 18yr and poured a dram. Wow, this is good! Definitely a quality whisky. At around $100, it is a real gem. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it.
