Could Use Some Help With This Please

I have an old bottle of Scots Aristocrat that I can not find any information on. The seals have never been broken. The bottle says product of Scotland, Scots Aristocrat Blended Scotch Whisky, 20 years old, 100% Scotch Whiskies, Blended & Bottled by Lang Fulton & Co. Glascow-Scotland. There is a label on the back describing the blend. It also says it is accompanied by a certificate stating it was matured in wood for not less than 20 years. I do not have the certificate.

Any information would be appreciated also what the possible value of this bottle is. I would love to upload photos if someone could tell me how.

Many years ago Lang Fulton & Co were owned by Stanley P Morrison [Bowmore] who are owned by Suntory. You could try them but it will most likely be one of their secondary brands thats not been sold for many years. Jack Gross died in the 1990's although I had heard his son did keep the company running so you could try them as well.

Some years ago I discovered that some States had a record of their State tax stamps online and if isn't damaged you could possibly find out what year the stamp was issued.

The research we did (according to the stamps) this was Scotch bottled sometime in the 1940's. It was matured in wood for no less than 20 years so I figure that would make this and 80-90 year old whisky. I am fascinated but yet getting frustrated that I can not find more information on this bottle...

It really doesn't matter how long it's been in bottle as whisk[e]y only matures in cask so the whisky in your bottle is still only 20 years old

That's interesting. I didnt know that. Thanks. I would still like to find out more about this bottle. It seems like I have run into a dead end but I'm not giving up.

While it is true that the whisky stops aging when it is bottled, it is still interesting as it is an example of a whisky that was apparently distilled in the 1920's. For that reason alone, it must have some value to a collector. It's interesting to see how things change over time, for better or worse.

Brian, I agree. I still cant find out anymore information on this bottle. I seem to be at a dead end. If you (or anyone else) know of anywhere I can find any information on it, please let me know.

Well, I'm still not finding out much information about this scotch. Jojo, have you heard from your source? I am thinking about putting it on Ebay to see what happens... what do you think?
