Default Help!!! I Need Advice!!!

My father is a big J&B fan. I'm looking to blow him out of the water with something better this Christmas as a gift. Please someone give me some brands that you feel are superior to J&B. Fancy, not fancy, old, new. What have you. Im really in the dark about this stuff. What would you like to recieve if you were him getting a nice bottle of whiskey? Many, many, many thanks!

Hey there! Some of my favorites include Glengoyne 10 year, Balvenie 21 year Portwood (expensive), Macallan Cask Strength, Glenmorangie (all of them!), Cragganmore 12 year, Glenfiddich Solera, Glenrothes (1987, 1991) - their Special Reserve is reasonably priced....

If you think he might like peat, smoke - consider any of these brands: Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Lagavulin. I really enjoy Laphroaig Quarter Cask.

Good luck - let us know what you decide!

I think I'm going to go with either Cutty Sark or Laphroaig. I need to stay within a budget.
