I have an unopened bottle of Jamie '08; it has a series 112 tax sticker, and the number molded on the bottom of the bottle is 72, so I would think the year is 1972. Is there a premium on this bottle? If so, how do I sell it?

Jamie 08 was sold in a couple of countries, USA for a few years in the 70's, Argentina since the 1960's and Spain since the 1970's. The number on the bottom of the bottle is the manufacturing mould number and nothing to do with the age.
As it never sold a great deal in the USA there may be a very slight premium over a normal bottle of blended whisky, if it's one of the others then there's no premium. |

thanks for the info on the mold number. there is also the 112 tax stamp that dates it and establishes that it sold in the USA. |

I watched eBay quite a lot when they sold whisky and there was a big difference between asking price and whether the bottle actually sold.
Check some of the auction houses that have whisky sales and you'll see that in the past blended whisky really has no premium, unless it's pre1930's, and is very rarely sold as an individual bottle. Usually there are 5 or 6 put together and even then they only reach around £80 to £100 per parcel. |

sorry, the right post is the next one. I made a mistake and hit the submit button too quick on this one.
