Default Black And White Whisky

Joanne,

Grateful if you could help to date and provide any background/info for my bottle of Black and White. Interestingly, I still have the cardboard box in relatively good condition and the bottle is unopened with the wire twist seal intact. The label with the sole distributor clearly shows and lists the countries Malaya, Sarawak and Siam which would suggest its age to be rather old since Malaya and Siam have since changed their names to Malaysia and Thailand. I think Siam changed its name to Thailand in 1939 ..The underside of the bottle shows N8125, N6 , and UGB. I live in Singapore and got the bottle here from my in-laws and it been in my possession for more than 25 years but I would suspect the bottle to be much older than that.

Thanks and best regards

Default Black & White

The Royal Warrant on your bottle of Black & White was first used in 1955 and the slogan ‘The secret is in the blending’ was used until 1963, so your bottle would have been produced between 1955 and 1963.
