I'm a huge fan of the Laphroaig and other Islay "smokey" malts, but my favorite creamy sweet Scotch when I'm in the mood for one is the Talisker 18. It's hard to find, but worth it.
Has a really good body for a sweeter scotch, I get the slightest hit of caramel, and if the color gold/amber had a taste, this is what I would imagine it to be. Extraordinary finish too, all around great scotch. |

My choice would be the Springbank 21. I had the Springbank 21 at the Bandy Library in Manhattan. It was the suggestion from the Whisky Somalie. What a wonderful drink. Suggest anyone traveling to NYC to check out the Bandy Library.

I think Springbank 21 is sweet but maybe not so creamy. Have you tried it?

- Teacher's Highland Cream. I remember my first taste and the very first description that came to my mind was "Wow, this is creamy!" It's very affordable and a very popular brand. Macallan 18 year is an excellent choice, although "creamy" does not come to mind - for me anyway ("everyone has an opinion"). As for Highland Park 30 year, my first thoughts on this expression: "Very, very flavorful, warming, spicey. Sweet, smokey finish".

Unless there has been a recent release the 21 yr Springbank won't be easy to find and it certainly won't be cheap. When they show up on Ebay they generally go for more than $300!

I've never gotten "creamy" from a single malt...
However, if you want a mouthful of wonderful, drop a cube of ice in a tumbler of Macallan Cask Strength... WOW! |

http://whisky.com/forum/showthread.p...ed=1#post18747 It really is a mouthful. I brought it to my poker game where all the guys smoke cigars and partake in port and whisky. They finished the whole bottle and absolutely loved it. We sell it on Whisky likewise: http://whisky.com/brands/macallan_brand.html Also, check out the 55yo http://whisky.com/vip/macallan_55year.html and we have the new 57yo if anyone is interested.
