Default Please Help Identify James Buchanan Less then Half Pint Bottle!!

Hi,

I need some help Identifying this James Buchanan Less than 1/2 pint bottle
that I have. The bottle appears green with a white label. There is a red label
that stretches across the white label.

Here is what I was able to read on both labels:

White label -

Fine Old Blended Scotch

James Buchanan

Glasgow Scotland

Red Sticker on top:

Alex D. Shaw & Co. INC

Broadway, New york N.Y

Black and White Scotch Whisky

Less than 1/2 Pint

If anyone could Please tell me the age and value of this bottle of whisky
I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you very much!

Is there anyone who collects whisky like this? Anyone have a slight idea of the age or value? This forum seems to have a lot of people in the know about this field. Do any of you have one like it in your collection?

It Looks like a miniature bottle, from the KnS stopper it could possibly be pre 1960's, it could even be pre war. The red label could also be the state tax stamp that was need at those times as well as the federal strip stamp which can be seen at the capsule.

Hi Thank you for the information! Do you or anyone else know the value a bottle like this goes for? Have any of you sold one like it before?

Many years ago I used to collect miniatures and would never even buy one with a torn or marked label so without it being labelled I doubt that it would be worth much to a collector. Maybe someone would offer a couple of dollars just to try the whisky but I really doubt it.
Open it and try it yourself to see what it's like, you could even post some tasting notes on it as other could be interested.
