I did a lower end scotch tasting recently and I just bought my first bottle. I was impressed with the complexity of flavors and aromas in scotch and I want to get into it. Since I'm just starting out and haven't developed a taste yet, I went with good old Johnnie Walker Black 12 year as it was one of the better tasting ones I tried. Cheers! (and Jojo you are hot!)

Since you've mentioned a blend I'll point you towards the worlds best blend award a few years back, and one of my favorites, Taketsuru 17, and if you can find it, Taketsuru 17 non-chill filtered.
Very close, but slightly smoother in flavor.
