Hello all,
While visiting my grandfather yesterday he brought out an old bottle of Johnnie Walker Red that was given to him by a friend after their great grandfather passed away. The story is that the bottle was given to him when he was promoted while working at General Motors, but we have no clue when this happened. The bottle is very interesting, has a screw top? possibly, a taped label over the top that has the words GingerAle and some numbers, and a rope tie around it. It has an award label at the bottom as well. My grandfather would really like to find out when this bottle is from. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! *I have pictures but no clue how to post them on here! |

We are happy to have your bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label dated, but need to have photos. If you need help posting - see below:
Click on Post Reply and and then to insert your photo, look for the paper clip icon (to the right of the smiley face). Click on it - a new window will open which gives you the option to browse your computer for your photo. Once you do that and Upload - close that window. If your photo does not attach, that means it's too big, so re-size and try again. Once you're set and have closed out of that window, you'll be back to the main page with your question. Click on the paper clip icon again and it might say Insert Attachments" or it may just show numbers - go ahead and either click on Insert Attachments or just click on the numbers and it will insert into your message. You won't actually see the photo until you either preview it (look to bottom of the body of your thread, below the icons and you'll see a button to either Submit New Thread or to Preview Post. Once you click on either of these, you will see your photos. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Your bottle of Johnnie Walker Red Label has been dated based on the pack design from the 1930s. Canada Dry Ginger was the importer for Johnnie Walker in the USA at that time.
