Default Auchentoshan 21 - I TOFTT

Big disappointment. I should've just picked up another bottle of Glenlivet 21. The nose is astringent and doesn't make want to dive in. So I,m turned off from the start. The palate is just kind of blech!!!! I don't know how to really describe it except it tastes cheap. Crown Royal has a better palate and I have nothing but contempt for Canadian whiskEy. I think it's too oaky in the palate. This is not well balanced. Yuck. Mercifully, the finish is not strong or long - but make no mistake, you don't want this lingering on your tongue. At least it's consistent: everything bad in the nose and palate is present in the finish.

if you're in So Cal, I'll give you what's left.
