Default Kinclaith 1975

Hi, I am selling my Kinclaith 1975 box set, complete with miniature and tasting glass. Numbered bottle, only 163 was released and the distillery is now closed in 1977.

I have attached one picture but please contact me if you require any more pictures or information.

I think it should be worth around £1300.

Cheers

Realistically you would get around £550 at auction, hammer price. Given most of the big auction houses, who attract the biggest buyers, charge 20% commision you may walk away with around £440 in your pocket.

I know one shop has one for £1750. A lot of the shops that deal in rare, discontinued bottlings tend to at least double or tripple the highest auction results or just make up a price.

Since you are in scotland, the Bonhams Whisky Sale 14th Dec will be accepting entries.

Good luck with the sale.

I have been given an estimate of between £800-1000 by an auction house.

Even at the lower estimate any buyer would be paying around £1000.

However I have stuck it on ebay starting at £850 (free listing this weekend), which is 50% less than the retail price.

Cheers
