Default Lismore

In the spirit of honest feedback and communication with my fellow whisky friends, I must post what I recently tried - Lismore (no age given) Single Malt. Has anyone else tried this whisky?

I must say, this was one of the most foul tasting drinks I have ever experienced! There is a strong odor, which I cannot identify. My wife said that it smelled like cat urine (best description so I'm going with that).

Anyways, be warned! If anyone else has tried this, what did you think?

Hey there Powderhound - interesting feedback! This is one I have yet to try, but I understand this brand does have favorable reviews and has been said by a few that it's similiar to Cragganmore (which I enjoy). This just goes to show you that we all can have verrrrrry different tastes! Where did you try it?

I bought it at a local liquor store. Maybe I just got a bad batch, as a few friends have tried it and all have said it was pretty bad. Does that happen from time to time, where a bottle/batch goes bad? I've never seen it before, but I guess anything's possible!

How long ago did you purchase it? If it hasn't been that long, I would certainly bring it back. Let me know.

It was about a month ago. I might try that.
