a rare bottle?

hi i have a very rare collectors bottle of glen moray single speyside malt scotch whisky 12 years old it is 1 of 100 bottled to commemorate the opening of the buchanan galleries on the 31st of march 1999 i have contacted the distillery in elgin who unbeleivably cant tell me anything about the bottling as staff have all changed since they were bought over by another company someone has told me that 1 of these bottles sold on e bay for about £800 + pounds are they pulling my leg i hope to hear a reply soon many thanks

Yep - you're certainly right - the distillery does not have a record of this bottling. Therefore, my suggestion at this point of your search is to contact Martin Green at McTear's. He can at least provide an auction estimate. You'll want to be sure to be ready to send him very good, clear photos - get the label, the closure, and the entire bottle.

Hmmm....actually much less than what you heard, but we're happy to hear you now have an expert's opinion on its worth.

just a little line to say i never put my bottle up for sale it can gather dust for another few years then we will see what it may be worth as im not a whisky drinker
