Default Ice Cold Jack Daniels and suggestions ??

Not much bourbon swallowed up here in Canada, at least I don't know of anyone who drinks it. I bought a bottle of Jack Daniels #7 last year, I keep it in my backyard workshop and have only had the occasional shot, straight up as a sipper, no ice. Not bad, I didn't crave it but it was good. First time I ever drank it in the winter was last night, out back in the workshop with a wood fire in the stove, watching a hockey game in B&W (with rabbit ears no less), and having a cigar. Thought I'd try the JD for a change, obviously the bourbon was absolutely ice cold (we're in the middle of a cold snap). It was fantastic, not sure why so much better than at room temperature, but it was great. Way better even than when I tried it with ice.

Gonna do it again next week, and then maybe try another brand. Any suggestions? I tend to be a bit of a budget drinker. Keep in mind we don't have a great bourbon selection up here but there are some of the everyday one's I think.

I checked the LCBO site and found that a 750 of JD Sour Mash sells
for around $30. Here are some that come in under that price:

JIM BEAM WHITE LABEL BOURBON - $ 25.95
WILD TURKEY BOURBON- $ 27.95
JIM BEAM BLACK BOURBON - $ 28.95

Of those, I'd choose the Wild Turkey but the Beam isn't bad either.

A few priced slightly higher:

MAKER'S MARK KENTUCKY BOURBON - $ 37.95
BUFFALO TRACE KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY - $ 39.95

Both are quite tasty and even though they cost a bit more than the JD,
you probably won't be disappointed. Consider it a holiday treat for yourself
if you do decide to splurge!

Thanks for the suggestions. Like I say, most stores up here don't have a lot of bourbon to choose from. I did pick up a bottle of the Jim Beam Black, have yet to try it, but looking forward to it. Cost me $23/26 oz bottle (750 mL) which is not too bad for price. I'll get back after my next cigar and let you know how it was.
