Rarest Macallan Auctioned off for $460,000 - setting new record!
Yep, $460 big ones - to an anonymous US bidder. Wow.

I strongly suspect that the bidder was a collector of Lalique crystal and not scotch. I wonder if he/she would consider selling the contents?

The macallan 64 years old sold for $460,000.
I received the below info today in an email from The Macallan
The Macallan garners record price.... THE MACALLAN 64 YEARS OLD SOLD FOR $460,000. "Our record-setting auction at Sotheby’s establishes The Macallan 64 Years Old as the world’s most expensive spirit, and helps 30,000 people in the process." http://www.usamacallan.com/?age=1
