Can any one give me references for the price of a bottle of Scotch 12 or 18 years old at that time?
Thanks Mike |

hey mike - is there a particular scotch you referring to? if you could narrow down to a brand (or a few), that would perhaps make it easier! is this for a report?

Nothing particular. It's not for a report. A friend of mine mentioned that a bottle of 40's scotch might be worth ~$6,000 now. Just try to figure how much they worth in 40's. Any price would help. Thanks,

i'm not familiar with any 1940's scotch going for $6000. i have seen some 1940s go from $150 up to $500. but, this isn't to say there aren't any going for $6000! pb

Only the rarer blends like the old Ballantine’s, Haig’s, Dewar’s, Black & White and really old Johnnie Walker products tend to sell at the high end at auction. However, as far as any of these being worth several thousands of dollars, it's not likely. But, after saying that, one should keep in mind that sometimes the value of a rare Johnnie Walker can surprise you!
