Looking to date a bottle of Grand Old Parr
My mother-in-law was recently given a bunch of various liquors by the family of an elderly lady she cared for. She in turn gave us three bottles of whiskey.
One is a bottle of Canadian Club dated 1955, but bottled in 1949 (the label states that it is a six year old whiskey and the 1955 label is still intact over the lid. Another is a bottle of Walker's Deluxe Bourbon which doesn't appear to be as old as the others and the third is a bottle of Grand Old Parr. I have been trying to research it online but seem to be having little luck. I have taken pictures and will attempt to post them on here when I am authorized. The top label has been taped on and the back label is ripping. The front of the bottle has an Illinois liquor tax stamp on it, but I cannot see a date on it.
For the record, I rarely drink whiskey but would like to date it as we have all of these bottles on our bar for conversation (and consumption should our guests request). Thank you for any help that you can provide.
