A family member passed away recently and when doing the basement cleanout I ran accross this old bottle of J&B. Curious of the age and possible value of the bottle. I plan on cracking it open when my child is born and having a nice scotch and cigar with my father.

It has the date "12-25-83" hand written on the label as well (most likely by my family member). Would love to know more about this bottle!

Using the photographs you provided, J&B Rare's parent company dated your bottle - it was produced between 1974 and 1987.

Also, one last question. Is it safe to drink?
