Question Glenfarclas 105, 40th Anniversary Edition

Hello,
I recently got married and someone gifted us a 40th anniversary edition of Glenfarclas 105 single malt scotch whiskey aged 40 yrs 700ml in original silk lined box. The problem is that neither me nor my husband drink scotch so we would like to sell it. Does anyone one have any suggestions on price and where we could sell it? Thanks for any assistance!

Hi, you are based in NY right? I think your best bet to sell it then is probably christies - they have 2 whisky auctions a year. Does it come with certificate stating it is 1 of 893 bottles? If so, then I think it is worth $500-600. However you must remember that Christie's will deduct both a buyer and seller commission off the final price (approx 15% each) so you may well be better off with a sale through this site.

What I meant to say of course was Bonhams NY - their next sale is 29 April, so you ought to hurry if you want to include this bottle. contact - whisky.us@bonhams.com for a valuation
