Hi,
Firstly I must say that this may be silly question but I have only just started collecting. I have just purchased 2 bottles if johnnie walker from the late 70's. I just opened the delivery box to look at the bottles to find some sort if sediment or small particals which settle to the bottom after a little bit. They look clear or even a little white in colour. I can try take pics if needed. Just wondering as this the first lot if older bottles I have bought weather this is normal or has the buyer tried to pull one over me? The bottles are properly sealed with the import sticker over the lids. Thanks for the help. |

I wouldn't be concerned about this as it's quite common on older bottlings. It could be caused by a couple of reasons, the most likely is that it's a calcium dust the other is that it's cold floc caused by the bottle being stored or kept in a cold environment.

Ok thanks.
I have no intention of opening or drinking the contents I just wanted to make sure someone wasn't just trying to rip me off. |
