good bad or ugly

i have been given a fifth of canadian club whisky as gratuity. it still has two strips of tape over the lid with the numbers 1967. customer said he had it in his cabinet for 30 years now. any idea if its even drinkable or is it going to be somthing i need to save to have with a nice cigar.
