Default Cheaper but Similar to LAPHROAIG QUARTER CASK SINGLE ISLAY MALT SCOTCH WHISKY?

I was wondering, is there a recommended whisky that is similar to LAPHROAIG QUARTER CASK SINGLE ISLAY MALT SCOTCH WHISKY, basically in the smokiness, but at a lower price? I have tried Bowmore Islay (12 years) and MacLelland Islay (10 years), but they don't have the smokiness of the Laphroaig a friend had me try.
Thanks!

Black Bottle. Smoky and peaty, but nothing has the medicinal goodness of Laphroaig.
If that's what you're missing, just buy a bottle of the Laphroaig 10 and mix it with the Black Bottle or MacLelland. I blend my own all the time.

Cool Lava

You might want to try Lavagulin 16 year old. Lovely body! Sneaks up on you, so exercise extreme caution! Lol. Had a dram on Thanksgiving...ah, make that two, hmmmm, maybe it was three!

Cheers

Wrong way on the price scale!

I'd say Laph QC is already a very good price for what you're getting. Bowmore was my best suggestion, but I've never seen anything both that peaty and decent at a price well below the Laph.

If the Quarter Cask is too high for you, the only other recommendations I could possibly offer, based on my own love for the Laphroaig, would be Ardbeg 10, as the Uigeadail and Lagavulin 16 would both definitely be more expensive.
