Hi - New here, I have been a huge fan of single malts for about 10 years, so I am fairly new. My intro was Macallan 12 which I still love today.
I want to share my favorites: Oban 14 Oban 18 Glenmorange La Santa Macallan Directors Edition (tasted this for first time last week, and at $50 a bottle, i loved it and not crazy expensive. My new favorite.....Aberlour 16; excellent - had it tonight for the first time ever. The smoothest single malt I've had, actually prefer it over Macallan 18 and 25. Having a sip now as I type......amazing. Anyone else love the Aberlour 16? Thanks |

You might want to try Dalwhinnie...it is also a Highland Whisky....
I currently have both and really like them. The Oban seems just a tiny bit more "biting" if you will. I usually mix about one half ounce distilled water to two ounces of my Oban, but nothing in the Dalwhinnie. Love them both...lol...among many others. My wife loves to purchase different ones for me to try...what a life. Haven't had to make a buying decision in years...for my single malts. The blends are my choice. Cheers Dave |
