Default Black and White De Luxe 4/5 Quart

I recently purchased a home. The previous occupant left basically everything. When i was cleaning it out I found this bottle and was curious how old it was. I especially like the taped up corners. But the engraving on the back and the top match it so i assume it is original. So any help would be great. I would like to know how old it is and if I should drink it at top speed?

lhmill,

Curious bottle you have there...I have a 1/8 Pint version of this!

Black&White was a pretty common 'shelf-brand' whisky for many years,
but not too highly regarded for taste these days...Still there are a few
indviduals that would collect these simply for their age. (Your bottle
dates to the 1960's I believe.)

If you ever think about selling it, I have a pretty big collection of these
Black&White bottles going back to about 1917...would love to add this
one to the collection!

Cheers,

Cheers WC thanks for the answer. Want to put an estimated value on it? I am more of a bourbon drinker myself but I may just set it on my bar so I can look cool and sophisticated

P.S. so best guess is this wouldn't really be worth opening and trying out?

Pretty new bottling for this brand, but still worth a few bucks to a collector!

I've seen 2-3 of these sold on the internet over the past few years, and they
seem to go for about $60-$80 US...Some of the older ones from the 30's-40's
will fetch considerably more.

I dropped you a PM...let me know what you think!

Cheers,
