Default Gooderham's Centennial Whiskey 1867-1967

Hi,
I have a bottle of Gooderham's Centennial Whiskey 1867-1967 Rare. It was bottled is 1957 and is still sealed. Anyone know of it's value or have any info on this? I know the G & H were acquired by the Hiram Walker group but there is very little info online about this particular bottle.

Hi,

I have several bottles of this whisky in my collection. Depending on the condition, and whether all the pieces are there (box, white zippered bag and bottle, of course) it is worth in the neighbourhood of $100 to $150. This bottle comes up fairly often on various auction sites.

Hi John,

This is not a rare bottle. Although it is called 1867-1967 Centennial, it was produced in large quantities for many years. The price in the 1970s was about $8.00. I have seen this bottle for sale at least four times this year in the Ottawa-Toronto area.

The biggest problem with this bottle is that the plastic bag is a bit snug and the label tends to get scuffed on the edges where it wraps around the bottle. A bottle in average condition with a good fill level and all the pieces - like the one in the picture would sell for around $100. In pristine condition I have paid as much as $220.00 but I have never seen a bottle in as good shape as that before or since.

I never, ever, ever sell whisky, but since you are a Gooderham and I am a writer, if by chance you live somewhere in the Montreal - Toronto corridor I would be happy to give you a sample some day when I am passing through just for the chance to have a wee chat. I will be pouring a bottle of this at the Victoria Whisky Festival in January, if by chance you live in the Vancouver/Victoria area. I think the class is now sold out, but just contact me and I will save you a sample.

I should tell you this really is spectacular whisky and if people were more knowledgeable about Canadian whisky it would command much higher prices.

Good luck in your hunt. If you contact me off line, I can let you know next time I come across another bottle.

Default Bottled in 1962

Hi all, I have come across the same Centennial, in the box and white case, but bottled in 1962. Unopened. I am willing to sell it. Email me at robbie_silver@yahoo.com. I am located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I can send pictures if desired.

Also I have an unopened bottle of Carrington. Unknown date though. Both are available for sale.

Thanks.

Default Bottle for sale with case

I have the bottle pictured on the website, along with the white vinyl carrying case. The whiskey was consumed, but the bottle, labels and case are all in near perfect condition and were stored in a closet since purchase was made in 1967, in a smoke-free home. It belonged to my wife's step mother who is now in a assisted living apartment.
The upper label reads1952, with a serial number. The lower one has another series number, and says 15 years old.
Contact me if you are interested in this package and make an offer if you like.

It is also registered at the distillery under the No. A-158659. Wanting to sell and will listen to any offer.

Default Serial number 000183

I have a Whisky Bottle that is in just as good condition as the one posted at top. The Serial number on the back is 000183....very low number. My understanding woudl be that the lower the number, the higher the value. Anyone have thoughts or a value attached to that?

Just an FYI in case this link eventually becomes no longer valid: The starting bid on Ebay is $100USD - or Buy It Now for $250USD.

Default Gooderhams with a tin/bronze or copper fixed cover over the bottle?

Hi all, srry for bringing up an old thread but I am wishing to know more about the goodhams centennial 15yr No.B - 440412?.......the bottle I have (empty and with no case) comes encased in what I think is bronze but could be copper or tin (by factory I assume as all lables are affixed to the outside)....I have been unable to find anything on this particualr style bottle.

Thanks in advance
Please email me at mz_mann@yahoo.ca

Cheers,
Mike
