I recently purchased this bottle from the gentleman who discovered the Spencer Penrose whiskey cache, and was wondering if anyone could tell me more about the age of the bottle? The label is slightly different from the other Jameson bottles I've seen from the Penrose estate, as this label says nothing of the volume or strength, and it simply says "SOLE AGENTS" instead of "BOTTLED BY THE SOLE AGENTS FOR THE U.S.A." The bottle is apparently made from a 3-piece mold, which I've read could date a bottle from 1880 to 1910 (if the seam does runs to the top of the neck but not onto the lip of the bottle). Also, he bottle top also has a collar with a wedge ring, as opposed to having a single tapered collar, and has a gold capsule instead of a reddish one. For a comparison, see the following link:
