Default 1895 (Original Full/Sealed) Jack Daniels Bottle

I have recently been given the task of selling off a very large collection of wine and liquor. This collection was inherited by a friend of mine. This cellar was built in the late 1800's and contains bottles from the early 1800's to the late 1920's. The contents of this cellar are some of the most rare wines and liquors to be found anywhere.

While I was inventorying this cellar I found a bottle of 1895 Jack Daniels. The bottle is full and completely sealed. This might be one of the only or only bottle in existence. I was hoping that you might know where I could sell this bottle. Due to the bottles rarity, my first thought was to offer it to the Jack Daniels company or affiliates as it is an historic item and I believe they should have the first opportunity. However, if they are not interested then I would be willing to sell it to a collector.

The entire cellar consists of bottles of Haut Brion 1881, 1884, Napoleon 1811 cognac, pre-ban absinthe, 1800's whiskey's etc. I have agreed to sell all of the contents of this cellar as I have been an avid wine collector for more than 20 years and the people who inherited this collection do not understand the collectablility and value of items as rare as these. Any assistance you could provide me would be greatly appreciated. I have attached photos of the bottle for your review. This bottle has several bubbles in the glass. The No 7 in the center of the bottle does not have a circle around it, so it is one of the first test bottles that was created and marketed before the actual label design was decided upon and put into general production in 1895. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Patrick

P.S. I also attached a general photo of many of the other bottles from this cellar so you could get an idea of how many 1800's bottles there actually are.
