one label has 2gf9001 the other has 2glf609 can anyone tell me how old the are as my mum had them in the bottom of her wardrobe for years and will they still be drinkable thanks

We can try to have your bottles dated, but need for you to post photos first. As far as whether it is drinkable, keep in mind that whisky is in its peak condition once bottled (it does not mature once bottled). While the shelf life may differ depending on whom you ask, it is generally believed be good for at least 10 to 15 years. After this time, the color and taste may begin to deteriorate, particularly if there has been any evaporation from the bottle.
If you decide you'd like to try the whisky, smell it first and decide from there. Keep in mind that even though the whisky may not be as good as it was when bottled, it's not going to be harmful - just that the taste may be off or has altered throughout the years.
