I am hoping that someone can help me find the value of this bottle, Due to a death in my familly I have two of these.
This was distilled in 1967 and bottled in 1993 and looks to me to be in perfect condition. I am told these are valuable and collectible and we would like to sell them to raise funds to pay-off debts left behind. Any insight is greatly appreciated. ![]() ![]()

We will see if we can get some information for you. You also may want to contact www.bonhams.com (they have several US offices). This company offers valuations and will put your bottles on auction if this is the route you want to go.
We are sorry to hear of your loss.

And there in lies the auction conundrum. Where one may be willing to take a price, say $500, from an individual buyer, they're also unwilling to risk it selling for a lower reserve price at auction even when there's a chance it may sell for much, much more than the price they're willing to accept from the individual buyer - even after the auction surcharge.
I used to work in wine auctions so I know the game intimately. However, here's something most sellers don't know/consider: if they have a pristine collection and pit the auction houses against one another, consignment fees are frequently waived. Hence my point, if you have some patience, a great collection and really understand the game, the auction market can be really great for your returns - even considering possible fees. |

Ebay would be another viable place to sell. These original 25yr bottlings don't show up as frequently as they did only a few years ago and the prices have consequently risen.
Something north of $600 would not be unexpected!

Really ?!?
Guess you watch the news much....20/20 ran a report on the 21st, on how they got a 13yr old to buy booze on eBay and have it shipped to his house. eBay has since booted all "collectable" bottles off, unless they are empty. eBay has never been a great place for selling a good bottle....
