If anybody Is Interested or would lIke to provIde me wIth some InformatIon about thIs bottle please let me know. I would really like to sell the bottle or know more about it like how to date and the value of the bottle. The uniTed sTaTes Treasury serial number is 36A3230341.

Victoria Vat was one of Dewar's main deluxe brands sometime around 1907 - in 1954, it was renamed Ancestor. It ceased production around about 2007 and was replaced by Dewar's 12 from 2000 onwards. The brand was gradually withdrawn from all markets and replaced with Dewar's 12.

Whisky.com can possibly have your bottle of Victoria Vat dated, but will need photos. You'll need to register first - if you need help, let us know.

Default help

Hi jojo, i have tried to register twice bow. The first time under a username of Pop Pop`s liquor cabinet. The second time as jaysongenero us. I was hoping tgat tge 2nd time i registered that i could simply create a new post about the bottle and send you some photis, but it is now saying my account does not have access to create a new post. Im worried because tge ebay auction is ending tomorrow and i dont want it to go for too cheap. If the number on the tag might help you, it reads U .S. Internal Revenue 36A3230341.

Default Hi JoJo

Thank you for the initial knowlege on the bottle. I finally think I have registered correctly and activated my account. I am going to try to post photos right now but I am not sure if it will let me...I will only allow me to post photos off the internet not emailed or from my desktop.

Hello scotch fans, I am selling this bottle of Dewar's Victoria Vat from what I think is from the 40's. If you check out the eBay link above, go ahead and place a bid. I've tried to get an exact date for the bottle, but all I really know is that they changed the name of their 12 year old scotch from Victoria Vat to Ancestor in 1954. My grandfather served as a general in the US Airforce from the early 1920's through the 40's. I know this bottle came from his collection, and being still sealed, I am sure it will sell!!!

Let us know if you still want to try to get this bottle dated. Tried to access the link, but not working. If you sold it, let us know what it went for!
