I am coming back from a deployment and looking for a good whiskey that i can toast with my platoon that most everyone will like. What are some affordable whiskeys that we can get in Texas not to expensive and everyone should like?

Some of the more approachable single malts include Glenmorangie Original, Glenfiddich 12, and Auchentoshan 12. If you want to kick it up a notch, you might consider Springbank 10, Macallan 12, or Highland Park 12.
Good luck, and welcome home! |

All of Legions suggestions are reasonable whiskies that would be acceptable for whisky novices. They should be around $50 and widely available. Avoid anything heavily peated, it's polarizing.
Cheers!

Returning from an overseas deployment? Stay away from imports and go with smooth Maker's Mark Bourbon The '46' is delicious and smooth.. This coming from a true Single Malt Drinker
There is a US made single malt, distilled in a retired hangar on the Decommissioned Alameda Naval Air station called St George Distillery, $40 bucks at BevMo and how many troops wish they could run a still in the barracks? |
