Default Pinch Dimple Miniature

I am in possession of a full, wire sealed and foiled miniature 70% proof dimple circa late 1950s "by appointment to the late King Edward". Is it rare and if so is it valuable.

Default Haig Dimple 1950

Hey there Ferit - We have seen Haig Dimple 1950 valued at anywhere between £150 and £210. Have you looked at Ebay? There's a lot of these bottles up for auction. You may want to follow them closesly to see what they go for. Good luck!

Ive looked on ebay and the ones for sale there appeared much newer. So. Ive examined the miniature under a magnifying glass and discovered a small part of the neck label reads "by appointment purveyors of scotch whicky to the late King Edward VI". He died in 1553! More digging required I think. Any info would be welcomed.

I now stand corrected by someone with younger eyes. The label reads King George VI and not as previously stated King Edward VI which would date it at 1952 at the earliest. If anyone could tell me if and when the appointment changed to QEII i would be gratefull.

Ferit -

Need photos of what you have. Get one of the entire bottle, a clear one of the label - (front & back) and one of the closure. Let me know if you need help.

Default Query on a bottle of un-opened whiskey

I have been left a bottle of King George 1v 70 proof scotch whisky. It's un-opened, does it have any value or should I drink it ?
