Default Haig's Gold Label

I’m auctioning a bottle of Haig & Haig gold blend whisky on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Haigs-Spring-C...Bottle_Pots_ET and have been trying to find out more about it, can anyone help me please.

The bottle has a Spring Cap top with Wording to Foil wrap, it's unopened and looks very old. The nearest I can find to it is a (Late George VI) / Spring Cap / Bot. 1940s However there is a difference between that bottle and the one I have and it's the coat of arms. Due to its age the label is not defined but the coat of arms looks to be a shield with a unicorn to each side. I believe this to be the Royal Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Scotland.

Any help with history of age or coat of arms would be appreciated thank you.

Default Haig's Gold Label 1955

No problem - we easily moved this thread to the "Whisy Blends" category

We found out that based on the information and photos, your bottle has been dated to be from c1955. They weren't able to make out the wording below the armorial bearings on the main label but it looks like the royal coat of arms - which was added to the pack following the award of the royal warrant to John Haig & Co by Queen Elizabeth II.
