I acquired a bottle of Benmore Liqueur Blended Scotch Whisky as a gift from the widow of a scotch whisky collector. The bottle is in its original box with original tissue wrapping the bottle inside of the box. The outside of the box is tied with a small twine which also appears to be original. I am able to slip off the twine and examine the bottle. The cork and seal are completely intact and the whisky is slightly above the base of the bottle’s neck. It was imported to the U.S. by Vernon Distributing Company of Los Angeles, California. I believe by the Benmore name of the Scotch (calling it Liqueur) it was probably bottled in the 1930's.
I am not a scotch drinker or connoisseur, so would rather sell the bottle to someone who would enjoy it if it is indeed a fine scotch whisky. Is this a bottle worth attempting to sell and if so, do you know of avenues for sale in the U.S. Thank you for your courtesy. Brent |

I have seen this brand go for between £240-280 ($479USD - $559USD)
As far as what avenues to take for sale in the US - I would probably start with e-bay. Be sure to make available really great, clear photos - of the bottle and a close up of the seal intact. |
