Hi,
Can any one help with the age of this bottle, all i know is im told it was bought before 1970, other than this im lost, is it the same whisky as is sold today or as near as.........thanks in advance. Last edited by sorren; 04-10-2010 at 02:10 PM. |

The label looks to be a paper type rather than the later heavily embossed style and, if it is, your dating is correct as they changed the style of label during the 1970's. If you ask Chivas they'll say it's the same and I would reckon that it's as near as although you may find a slight differencebetween it and a current one, it really depends on the storage conditions they only way to know is to try it.
