For starters, Jack daniel's (not a bourbon) is a Tennessee whiskey. The ingredients are somewhat different - more grain, specifically corn used - at least 51% and a different process is used for making this spirit. Before maturing, it's charcoal mellowed (filtered through sugar maple charcoal) unlike bourbon or scotch.
