There is a split in the wax seal, right at the cap line. You can see it in this picture.
The good news is that the bottle doesn't leak continuously, so putting it on its side didn't result in any loss of fluid. I suppose it took some time for the liquid to have leaked out.
Some of the labels faired a little better than others, but they all got a little moisture damage.
