Hi,

I found 20 bottles of Talisker 18YOs auctioned off since 2007. The hammer price ranged from $52 to $88 per bottle. The 18YO OB is a very common bottling. You may be looking for more data to make your decision, but I would just crack the bottle and enjoy as I believe it will be a lot of years before one sees this bottling appreciate considerably. The ones to hang onto are the 20-Year-Old OB bottlings ( which are hard to find ). They were bottled at 58.8% ABV, 62% ABV, and 62.2% ABV. They were offered for sale at the distillery gift shop. So to keep your 18YO is a crap shoot at this point.

By the way, there is NO SUCH thing as a stupid question.
