Hi Frezo, from the photo it looked as if it could be a plug cork. As it feels like a stopper that dates it to after 1927 and from the style of the label and colour it looks to be pre-war and the 2 piece mould has been used for the past 110 years or so. From this I reckon it's from around 1930 to 38 and an early bottle.
