The best thing about the Balvenie 21yr Portwood, is that even novice drinkers will love it! This isn't necessarily true with all "expensive" bottles.

If it were me, I'd get the Glenrothes, as I have enjoyed their other [less expensive] expressions, and would love to taste the '85 (I've heard so many great things about it!)

A "popular" expensive bottle is the Macallan 18yr, which I don't think is much better than the 12yr, which is MUCH cheaper!
