The 10 yr cask strength brings more heat and powerful peat reek. The power of the peat mellows with age. If the peat blast of the 10 is too much, maybe the 18 is for you. I love the 25yr cask strength myself. It still has the peat smoke, iodine and brine, but in a softer dram. It's a gem.
Unfortunately, the 25 yo is out of my range at the moment.
