thanks, Islay Peat... it may well be, as is often the case, that my appreciation of this one will go up as the level of whisky in the bottle goes down: that's the fun part of the process of making an expression's acquaintance, the journey. still, if i want islay, it seems that i need to go full-on, go all the way or go home! thinking that an inexpensive offering like finlaggan or a blend like black bottle or islay mist (have yet to try any of these) might be more enjoyable for me at considerably less cost... i should reiterate that i enjoyed the springbank 10 more than i expected to and may well look into it or another campbeltown expression the next time some yen are burning a hole in my pocket... but lagavulin awaits, once i put my current bottle out of its misery! lol
