Drinking Kilchoman(Sherry Cask) tonight and gonna try a little review of it. I am not really good at this, so please forgive my if it a little all over the place or doesn't make alot of sense.
Nose-hot cherries. Some spiciness but soft and not burning. I mean it doesn't flare the nostrils but can smell a spiciness for sure. Sherry is there up front and then comes Honey, and warm syrup
Body- thick and creamy. rolls in the glass well and really sticks to the sides. you can see it crawling down the side of the glass. Coates the whole mouth. not oily but melting butter like. Just super creamy.
Palate- QUICK hit of spice/heat up front then turn to fruity sweet taste right away. Very clean after taste. Leaves mouth with a nice sherry favor. Small peat there but a sherry mostly.
I would recommend this if you haven't tried it and is looking for a good sherry cask whisky. Kinda reminds me of a simpler GlenDronach Revival, has a good taste but not the complexly that GlenDronach has.
